Speed Dreams is a fork of the famous open racing car simulator Torcs, aiming to implement exciting new features, cars, tracks and AI opponents to make a more enjoyable game for the player, as well as constantly improving visual and physics realism.

In other words, Speed Dreams is the place:

where developers can try their ideas and have every chance to get them released to the end-users (democracy is the main principle ruling the dev team),
where end-users can enjoy the completion of these ideas and give their opinion about it, and/or make new suggestions.

So, if you find your or some people's Torcs patch proposals don't integrate the official release as quickly as you would have loved, you have reached the right place !

 

Speed Dreams is a 3d cross-platform, open source motorsport simulation and racing game. It is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). For the moment, the supported platforms are Linux (x86, x86_64) and 32 bit Windows. The Mac OS X port is 95% finished, more volunteers are welcome...

Congress demands Padma Vibhushan for Kumbhakarna, to stall parliament over the issue

Taking cue from the recent lawsuit filed against Lord Rama for mistreating his wife Sita and  JNU students' celebration of the 'Mahishasur Martyrdom Day', the Congress  has now demanded that a posthumous Padma Vibhushan be conferred upon prince Kumbhakarna for the pivotal role played by him in the epic Ramayana. The opposition party has threatened that this will be a key issue in the budget session of the parliament, which will not be allowed to function until their demand is met.

Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari made the news official, ‘Every character in the epic Ramayana has been given his due, but the mighty Kumbhakarna. This when he was one person in the entire Ramayana who had his life sorted out. When everyone else was figuring out life and creating commotion, this Brahmgyaani was already resting in a higher state of consciousness. I ask why do the communal forces not recognize his contribution. They need to address this issue holistically or face consequences in the parliament.’

‘Look at the list of Padma awardees this year. Not a single award has been returned. Even those who refused awards last year are now accepting it. Isn't this enough evidence that the awards are rigged?", asked an enraged Renuka Chowdary. "If an award was given to Kumbhakarna we could at least have made a case for him to refuse it,’ our reporter heard her murmur.

"Modi government's handling of these awards has immensely hurt Sonia Ji. I was told she had tears in her eyes as she proposed a Padma Vihbushan for prince Kumbhakarna", added an emotional Salman Khurshid.

Mamata Banerjee to kick off Incredible Bengal campaign, ropes in Aamir Khan as Brand Ambassador

In a move that is likely to upset those hailing the ouster of Aamir Khan as Brand Ambassador of Incredible!ndia campaign, Mamata Banerjee has announced her own Incredible Bengal Campaign and roped in Aamir as its face.

Noted writer and Sahitya Akademi award returnee, Nayantara Sahgal welcomed the decision. ‘West Bengal has been at the forefront of preserving the secular fabric of India, openheartedly welcoming our peaceful neighbors all this while. The recent gathering of minority community in Malda only reinforces our faith in the tolerance exhibited by the government of West Bengal. And who better than Aamir to represent this face of Bengal.’

Journalist Barkha Dutt concurred with Sahgal. “Incredible Bengal campaign was long overdue. In fact I never understood why they called it Incredible India to begin with. It should have been Intolerant India, Incredible Bengal in the first place”, she added.
